Ford Problems

If you have a car or truck with ongoing problems, you know how difficult it can be to get your vehicle fixed. Many times traveling back and forth to the dealer can require way more time and effort than most consumers are willing to accept to satisfactorily resolve their problems.  In essence, a lemon automobile is an undesirable hassle. Most states have thankfully established their own lemon laws so the consumers can rid themselves of their lemons. Also, many automobile manufacturers, such as Ford, have done a thorough job of giving you the tools and information you need to determine if your car has a problem that needs immediate attention.

However, Ford and its dealers are usually disinclined to “bend over backwards” to fix your vehicle. Repair technicians are on commission, paid for fixing each car in the quickest amount of time possible.  Car companies such as Ford are mostly concerned with selling vehicles, not spending money on warranty repairs for your vehicle’s deficiencies. Oftentimes, their policy to is reduce warranty costs to save money.  Ford is unlikely to make frequent visits to the dealers to help them resolve any difficult problems.

In 2004, according to information from the Ford Trucks website, Ford sent its dealers an extremely high amount of repair bulletins (in the hundreds) for cars that might be deemed lemons, telling Ford dealers how to try to remedy these problems. These Technical Service Bulletins (often called “TSBs”) inform dealers how to fix these widespread problems or sometimes inform them that no fix is available! These issues were found in many models of Fords, including the Excursion, F350, Crown Victoria, Expedition, Explorer, F150, F250, Freestar, Focus, Taurus, and others. That is an extremely high amount, and this report did not even include Ford Safety Recalls or any ongoing federal investigations for safety defects. Considering these staggering statistics, if you think your vehicle is potentially a lemon, you are likely not alone.

Diligence is important, but occasionally you are merely wasting your time taking in your vehicle over and over again.  Thus legal advice on auto lemon laws may be your best solution.
